Review

This match was over as quickly as it began. Off the break Firestarters made sure that all the Youngbloods were accounted for. Only moments afterwards Gabe McCord, frontman. Team Firestarters, eliminated all three Youngbloods. The game lasted a little over thirty seconds (not official timing). Jordan Sharp and Richard Minton opened up on the other team like true ballers, but frontman, Gabe McCord, stole the show. Moving into the snake early, Gabe was able to keep moving, and eliminate the Youngbloods before they knew what hit them. First game for Team Firestarters, and first game of the tourney was maxed in nearly record time.

Review

One of the well most anticipated matches of the tourney for Firestarters was at hand. Knowing full well of how good the 618 Kidz were, Firestarters knew they couldn't drop this one, but if worst came to worst, they could not be maxed. Off the break 618 opened up, and pinned backman, Richard Minton, well into his back center bunker. Once more, early into the game, front man Gabe McCord moved into the snake. Quickly he moved upwards, and bunkered one 618 player out in the snake, only to be shot moments later by another. Soon after their left side collapsed, Sharpie was taken out, leaving backman, Richard Minton, to fend for himself against two very skilled 618 Kidz. Fighting them off as best he could, still being posted upon, Richard took an unlucky shot to the visor, slitting the ball it sprayed all over his goggles and hat. After he called paint check, he was called out of the game by a referee, Yank. While they had dropped the game, Gabe McCord once more proved his weight in gold to the team. While not winning, Firestarters was the only team in their division not to be maxed by the 618 Kidz, who took second place after a hard fought loss to Tremor.

Review

This game was the most disappointing of the tourney, and Firestarters have vowed never to let it happen again. Frontman, Gabe McCord didn't want to play Rage hard, because of their age. He held back, even after his team urged him on to play with his all. Quickly, Gabe got in position to make a hat trick bunker run, but instead, decided to try and out shoot one of them. Just as his head came out, a ball landed between his eyes. Getting off the field, Gabe was angered that his decision to go easy on them had backfired, and cost his team a man. Moments after getting out of the tape, he threw his marker to the ground in disgust. A referee seeing this, called for the backman, Richard Minton, to be pulled from the game. A second ref ran to Minton, and began to check his arm. Calling Minton clean, he took a step back, and looked back to the original ref. Then turning back to the player, he called an elimination. Minton walked to the dead box, only to see his teammate being swarmed by Rage players, not knowing his team had been eliminated completely. Minton told the ref to show him where he was hit, and the ref refused. Asking again, the ref said it was nothing he had done. Still confused and angered, Minton stood in the deadbox. The original ref walked over to him, and informed him that he was pulled because his teammate had thrown his marker. A very disappointing loss for the team, this was just the first blow of bad luck for them.

Review

This game had to be maxed for Firestarters to make it to finals. Off the break McCord was hit in the arm, but got a lucky bounce. He stopped behind back left to check himself for a bust. Minton followed directly behind him. Waiting for the right moment, the frontman showed his speed and skill once more by making the run to the snake. Sharpie sweetspotted off the break, and took one Anarchy player down, leaving the last two stuck in the back row of bunkers. Keeping the other teams heads down, Sharpie was able to move up to the forty. Not long after, Gabe made his move, and bunkered both Anarchy players. All of the Firestarters players ran down the field screaming with joy that they had just send themselves to finals. After the hang all players for Firestarters were called clean. Firestarters waited for their first game of finals, when Gabe McCord went to the proshop. He noticed that they were docked twenty points. Getting the team in there, they were told that they had been docked the points for overkill. Gabe shot the first man he bunkered six times...on the run...Enraged, the team tried to appeal it as far as they could go, but there was no overturning it.  Richard Minton was one of the most angered, and it made it even worse that they had not been told, or got to see the player with six splats on him. Leaving the tourney after finals, the team was still angered, but got over it, and went back to practicing on a regular basis.
