Think you have what it takes to be a Firestarter? Well, I'm sure that most people think they do, but most can't stand the heat. I'll give all of you some info on what exactly we, as a team, are looking for. Once you have read the information below, if you still think you have what it takes. Send me an e-mail here, and we'll get back to you. Skill level weighs heavily in this team. We are looking for players who play, not just
well, but smart. We are not speaking condescendingly upon newer players. If you are new,
and want to be a part of the team. Head out to ASP, and play with us some time. We are out
there nearly every weekend it is open. This way you will be able to learn the game
quicker, and with players with respect for the game. Once you grow into a respectable
player, and you play smart with a skill level that is up to par with the rest of the team.
You can ask Captain Sharpie for a spot on the roster. This doesn't mean that you will get
a spot, but it does mean that we know you, and know how you play. Concerning the players
who think they have true skill. While individual skill is something to value in this game,
it is overshadowed by teamwork. If you can work with a team, and even sacrifice yourself
for the win, then you might just have the kind of skill we are looking for.
This is a very strong portion of what it takes to be a Firestarter. All of us are just
regular guys, we love the game, and love to have a good time. When we're waiting to play
we are all working on our markers to make sure they are in working order, and while we do
that we all joke around and laugh. We want people that think we can win even if the cards
are dealt and things are looking bad. If you get angered over losing, and show poor
sportsmanship, you are doing nothing good for the sport, and hurting the team.
As you can see on the members page, we currently have a number of back and mid players.
We are down in numbers in the Front position. If you are a talented back or mid player who
meets what was stated above, that doesn't mean that we would take a front player who
doesn't fit the criteria over you. |
